That’s a great idea, though the current feature wasn't originally designed for this specific use-case. I completely see what you’re aiming for, and I’m happy to share that we’re already working on it! We plan to extend the Path Shape with a real Path Mesh and proper UV mapping to support your textures. This update will also be available for Shape Layers and should be ready in about a month or so.

Thank you! Both crash and road problem solved... well if we could also go a little below 0.01 width that would make it even more perfect ;) But I'm already fine.

I'm also interested in this. May be its a feature to be implemented. Well I make my roads in UE5 as I also need geometry for them, but for a ski track or dirt roads it would be nice to have in WC.

By way of introductions, I'm Marco from Vancouver, Canada. Old man with big dreams, or at least a good direction in life and a plan to get there. How can you assign a texture to a path so that the texture follows the path – in other words, proper UV mapping?
In the example image, I’ve used an asphalt texture so that the problem is easier to see.
