    Hi,

I'm Patrik. I've started experimenting with World Creator around last november. Before finding WC I was amazed on the graph based workflows, but now I see for this application the WC approach is much better and faster. I'm working on a hobby game project in Unreal Engine 5 in my free time. I started that project almost 2 years ago. I started learning UE and Blender with this project (had some random level editing experinces and CryEngine 3 modding experience, all just for fun). Well the finish of the project is still far away but the progress is clearly visible imo. I'm now trying to find a shorter way on achieving something I could release in early access, instead of making the full thing...so, some enjoyable but easier to complete game modes before making a story mode. I don't want to make the mistake of never releasing it in any form.

In full-time I work as a mechanical design engineer, but I feel like game dev. is a lot closer to me. Will see how it turns out later. I'm living with my wife in the capital, now looking for some place little quieter 😅

When I was younger I loved Battlefield 2. I met some friends there (well, nowadays I only talk with one). Besides that I always liked GTA, strategy games, city building games and recently the ArmA series, Space engineers. 💥 Besides games I also love travelling, hiking, bikeing, and especially wall-climbing (the indoor version mostly).

    Hi!

Off topic note: It seems like I was unable to create a topic in "Welcome/FAQ" which seemed like the best place for a question like this. Please move this topic if necessary.

    On topic:

I'm trying to recreate a real world village and the surroundings on a 4k terrain and I just don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I really can't:

    • get a narrower path than 0,01
    • make the terrain follow the path if its width is 0,01 -->it seems like it starts to follow it around width=0,05 which is way wider than what I need (its an elevated railway path)

I can do it in UE if its a WC limitation or something, but I tought it would be better to do all terrain and material works in WC and not mix it in the two if possible.

    Thanks!
