  • I wanted to startt a new post, but don't know how. I'm new to the forum but used WC years ago. I used terrain.party to import height maps to WC and Max, but now I'm only able to do so through UE. Is there another world map that allows height maps to be copied into WC?

  • Thanks for your question — and welcome back to World Creator!

Regarding height maps: you can import virtually any type of height map into World Creator. In most cases, height maps are provided in RAW format, which is fully supported.

Here are three possible approaches within World Creator:

    #1 – Using a 2D Stamp Layer

Create a 2D Stamp Layer and click on Import. In the import dialog, you can select your height map file (for example, a RAW file).

You can find more details here:

#2 – Using the Height Map Filter

Add the Height Map Filter to your filter stack. Then click Import and select your RAW file.

We are currently finalizing the documentation for this newer filter and will complete it shortly. The workflow is very similar to the 2D Stamp Layer approach.

    #3 – Using MapTiler

If you have a MapTiler account, you can stream real-world terrain data directly into World Creator.

    Here’s how it works:

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. 😊
